The procedural terrain generator convert the Europe worldmap into 65536 different submaps, with different biomes assigned and blended together, the system also places premade prefab maps (feature i stole from Unreal Engine) into the procedural terrain to add complex structures blended with the terrain and can also put group of thematic prefabs to draw procedural cities and villages.
The system work together also with full handcrafted maps and you can seamless travel from procedural terrain to non procedural maps.
But there are years of work down the line to make it really recreate the entire Europe, here some failed and glitchy attempts at generating maps:
